About Me

I enjoy twenty years of developing a diverse skill set as I explored many management opportunities in the restaurant industry.  I quickly worked my way up through the ranks to the position of general manager by the age of twenty-five.  My assignments as a general manager included restoring challenged locations to a winning status, managing the grand opening of several new locations and identiyfing and developing new management talent.  The ability to  identify and develop new managers led to my position as one of only two trainers selected to guide new GMs through the corporations “fast track” training course.  I entered the construction industry and became a licensed general contractor in the state of California.  The customer service, team building, along with all the business skill my restaurant career had developed proved to provide a solid foundation for building a profitable company in the construction industry.  The years spent building my own company in the construction field utilized the experience and training my restaurant career had honed and provided a venue for my entrepreneurial drive to flourish.  The key to my success in team building was not restricting that development to my employees but aslo investing time required to build relationships with my customers, vendors,  competitors, and public officials.  In 2010 I moved to Nevada where I now attend the University of Nevada full-time.  In the Spring of 2012 I will be graduating from UNR with a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies focused on Business Management and Communications, accompanied with an Entrepreneurship minor.  I’m very excited to re-enter the business world and ready to apply my years of leadership experience now enhanced by the tools I acquired through the excellent instruction I received at the University of Nevada.
